Terms of service

Last updated: November 1, 2025

These Terms of Service & Disclaimer (“Terms”) govern your use of www.leahlmft.com (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Leah Rambush, LMFT – Relational Therapy & Consultation (“I,” “me,” or “my practice”).

By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Informational and Educational Purposes Only

The content on this Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to:

  • Provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, or legal advice

  • Diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health or medical condition

  • Substitute for personal, professional, or clinical judgment

You should consult your own licensed health-care or mental health provider regarding your specific situation.

2. No Therapist–Client Relationship

Your use of this Site, including sending a message through a contact form, email, or scheduling link, does not create a therapist–client relationship with me.

A therapeutic relationship with me is established only when:

  1. We have met (by telehealth or in person),

  2. We have mutually agreed to work together, and

  3. You have reviewed and signed my informed consent and practice policies.

Until those steps are completed, any communication should be considered informational and exploratory only.

3. Geographic Limits of Services

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) providing psychotherapy to clients who are physically located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Florida at the time services are provided, in accordance with state licensing laws.

If you are located outside these jurisdictions, I cannot provide psychotherapy services to you, even by telehealth. I may, when appropriate, offer general consultation or referrals, but this does not constitute therapy.

4. Not for Emergencies or Crisis

This Site is not monitored continuously and is not an appropriate way to seek help in an emergency or crisis.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are in immediate danger, or are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, please:

  • Call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911,

  • Go to your nearest emergency room, or

  • Contact your local crisis hotline or emergency services.

Do not rely on this Site, email, or voicemail for urgent or emergency communication.

5. No Guarantees

While I strive to provide accurate, up-to-date, and useful information, I make no guarantees or warranties:

  • That the information on the Site is complete, current, or error-free

  • That any particular result will follow from reading the Site or working with me

  • That the Site will be available at all times or free from interruptions or technical issues

Your use of the Site is at your own discretion and risk.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, all content on the Site—including text, logos, graphics, and images—is owned by or licensed to me, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Site’s content without my prior written permission.

7. User Conduct

By using this Site, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems

  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, spam, or harmful content

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or location

I reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site if you violate these Terms.

8. Communications and Confidentiality Limits

Communication via this Site, email, or other online forms is not fully secure or encrypted. While I take reasonable precautions, I cannot guarantee that electronic communications will remain confidential or free from interception.

Please limit sensitive personal and clinical details in online messages. Once a formal therapy relationship is established, I will provide more information about how we will handle confidential communication through my EHR and telehealth platforms.

9. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. I do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

If you access a third-party site from this Site, you do so at your own risk, and that site’s terms and policies will apply.

10. Changes to the Site and Terms

I may update, modify, or remove content from the Site at any time, and I may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent version.

Your continued use of the Site after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site or any information contained on it. This includes, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, to the extent allowed by law and professional ethics.

13. Not Legal or Clinical Advice

Nothing in these Terms or on this Site is intended to constitute legal advice, ethics advice, or clinical supervision. If you are a clinician or other professional, you should consult your own legal counsel, licensing board, or supervisor regarding your specific obligations.
