Online Therapy in Massachusetts
Online relational therapy for thoughtful, over-responsible adults throughout Massachusetts, provided entirely through secure telehealth. Leah Rambush is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Massachusetts (and Connecticut). No office to drive to, no waiting room, no commute added to an already full day. Private pay. Currently accepting new clients.
Location Works a Little Differently Here
My practice is fully online, which means location works a little differently. There's no office to drive to, no waiting room to sit in, and no commute to add to an already full day. What matters is where you're physically located during our sessions.
The short version. I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Massachusetts and provide online therapy to clients throughout the state via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth.
Throughout Massachusetts
In addition to Cape Cod & the Islands, I work with clients throughout Massachusetts, including Boston, the South Shore, Worcester County, the Pioneer Valley, the Berkshires, and everywhere in between.
Specialized support shouldn't depend on where you happen to live. Whether you're in a busy city, a small town, or somewhere in between, online sessions mean the right therapist is available without adding another commute to your week.
Who I Work With
Many of the people I work with are capable, self-aware adults who keep repeating the same patterns in relationships, carry more responsibility than they want to, or wonder why insight alone hasn't created the changes they hoped for. Life often looks handled from the outside while feeling depleting on the inside. That's not a character flaw — it's usually a pattern with roots, and it's workable.
What I mean by relational trauma
The mark left by early relationships in which your feelings were overlooked, managed around, or unsafe to show. You adapt — you become responsible, capable, easy to be around — and those adaptations quietly outlive the situations that created them, following you into your adult relationships and your own sense of what you're allowed to need. (The idea has deep roots in attachment and trauma research, including Judith Herman's work.)
What I mean by over-functioning
Steadying your own anxiety by doing more than your share — reading the room, anticipating needs, over-preparing, keeping control. From the outside it usually looks like competence. From the inside, it's the reason you're so tired, and the reason no one realizes how much you're actually carrying.
How We Work Together
Most of the people I see have already read the books and had the insights. What's missing usually isn't more information — it's a different kind of change. When something in your life won't shift, I get curious about the larger pattern around it: the roles you tend to take on, how you learned to relate, and what the pattern has been protecting you from.
I'm direct, but not directive. I offer observations, questions, and possibilities while the decisions stay yours, and I pay attention to how things land for you emotionally and in your body, not only intellectually. I offer weekly individual therapy and focused three-hour therapy intensives.
What You Need for Online Therapy
The practical requirements are simple:
A private place where you can speak freely
A reliable internet connection
Physical presence in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Florida during sessions
Many clients meet from home. Others meet from a private office, or even a parked car during a busy day. What matters most is privacy, consistency, and enough space to focus on yourself.
The short version. I currently provide online therapy to clients who are physically located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Florida. At the time of each session, you must be physically located in one of these states.
Whether We're a Good Fit
This work might be a good fit if you're a capable, self-aware adult in Massachusetts who keeps landing in the same patterns, carries more than your share, and wants to go deeper than insight alone — with a therapist who is warm and also direct. If that resonates, I'd welcome a conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you licensed in Massachusetts?
Yes. I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Massachusetts, and I work with clients throughout the state by telehealth. I'm also licensed in Connecticut and registered to provide telehealth in Florida.
Are sessions in person or online?
All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Telehealth lets you attend from home, your office, or anywhere you have privacy, and it works just as well as meeting in person for this kind of work.
Do you take insurance?
I'm a private-pay, out-of-network practice and don't bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement.
